Our standard option can be used for both legal and personal reasons. We will provide you with the original legal documents for your records. These documents can be used for any legal situation including, court, social security, birth certificate changes, etc.

To schedule testing, you may do one of the following:

Scheduling a Test

An appointment must be scheduled for all DNA testing. With over 2,000 locations nationwide, it is not necessary for the parties participating in a DNA test to visit the same facility. In fact, we can schedule individuals in different cities and states. This will not affect the accuracy of your results or your ability to use the results for legal purposes.

We will need the name, relationship and date-of-birth of all individuals participating in the test, the zip code(s) and a contact number(s). Also, if there is a specific day and/or time you are interested in, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate.

Identification needed for testing

Adults must take a photo ID, such as, a driver’s license, state issued ID, military ID, passport, etc., to the facility. Children must have a photo ID, birth certificate or social security card. If testing a newborn, a birth certificate or social security card may not be available. In such cases, it is preferred that the mother or legal guardian visit the testing facility with the child, provide their photo ID and the hospital discharge papers. If there is absolutely no ID available for the child in a case, we can still provide DNA testing, however, the legal use of your test results could possibly be affected.

How samples are collected

Samples are collected via buccal swab, which is the preferred method of collecting a DNA reference sample. A cotton swab is used to collect cheek cells from both the left and right cheeks of all individuals participating in the test. The buccal swab is non-invasive and painless for all parties involved. It is much easier to perform on infants and small children and it is equally as accurate as any other type of collection.

Results

We provide results verbally, over the phone, in 3 to 5 business days. Result times do not include the day of collection. You will then receive the original documents via priority mail to the address of your choice. After receiving your results verbally, please allow approximately 5 additional business days to receive your original documents. If you need to have additional copies sent from our office, there will be a fee of $25 per copy.

* The above result times are typical. However, in some cases, additional testing is required due to a particular individuals DNA. While this does not happen often, when it does, results could be delayed several days. This is completely out of our control and has nothing to do with the collection or testing process. A timely result is very important to us, however, an accurate result is the most important.

Our expedited option can be used for both legal and personal reasons. We will provide you with the original legal documents for your records. These documents can be used for any legal situation including, court, social security, birth certificate changes, etc.

We provide results verbally, over the phone, in 2 to 3 business days for paternity/maternity testing and in 3 to 5 business days for relationship testing. Results times do not include the day of collection. You will then receive the original documents via priority mail to the address of your choice. Our private kit can be taken in the comfort of your own home. This is a very convenient way to have an accurate DNA test performed. The test results of our home kit are equally as accurate as our standard and expedited testing options, although not court admissible. The only reason this option is not legally binding is due to the collection process. There is no way to verify who’s samples were actually collected because the buccal swab collections are not being performed by a neutral 3rd party.

If you are needing results for any legal reason, we recommend you choose either the standard or expedited option. The home kit is for personal knowledge only.

To order a home kit, you may do one of the following:

Your package will include everything you need to perform the collection and mail the samples to the testing facility.

• Detailed instructions

• Chain of custody form

• Enough buccal swab supplies for all individuals to be collected

• A pre-paid, pre-addressed overnight FedEx envelope for returning the samples to the testing lab

Identification needed for testing

With this option, there is no identification needed.

After more than 4 years of R&D, we are proud to offer a first-of-its kind Non-Invasive Prenatal Paternity (NIPP) Test.

This test offers higher accuracy and lower cost than any other test on the market today.

You are eligible for this test if you are at least 9 weeks pregnant.

This is not a legally binding test, as there is no prenatal blood test that is legally binding.

To order a Prenatal Home Test Kit:

Your kit will contain everything needed to perform the collection and mail the samples to the facility.  Including:

  • Detailed instructions
  • Chain of custody form
  • Buccal swabs (inside of the cheek) for the Father
  • Two blood vials for the mother
  • A pre-paid, pre-addressed overnight FedEx envelope for returning the samples to the testing lab

How To Collect & Mail the Samples

A cotton swab is used to collect cheek cells from both the left and right cheeks of the alleged father.  Non-standard samples, such as finger/toenail clippings or a toothbrush, can also be submitted for an additional fee. Call us if you want to submit non-standard samples.

For the mother, you must draw her blood into the two vials.  This can be done with the medical professional of your choice, or we can have a nearby lab do this for you for an additional collection fee.  Call us if you want to have a lab collect your blood samples.

It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that the blood vials be shipped the same day it is collected, using the included overnight mailer!

Additionally, you need to draw and ship the blood on either Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Fetal DNA begins to deteriorate within 48 hours after being collected. The blood must arrive at the lab before Friday so that they have time to analyze it.

If you wait until Thursday or Friday to ship it, the sample will be destroyed by the time the lab can look at it on Monday, and you will have wasted your money and time. Refrigerating the blood does not help.
